1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places in your browser to remember information between page views or between visits. They are a standard part of how the modern web works and are used by nearly every site you interact with. In addition to cookies, browsers offer a related mechanism called local storage, which serves a similar purpose. Mapleorbits uses both, sparingly, for a small set of clearly defined purposes described below.

2. Cookies we use

• Age verification (fn_age_verified) - records that you have confirmed you are 18 or older, so you don't have to re-confirm on every page. Local storage. No third-party sharing.
• Cookie preference (fn_cookies) - records that you have acknowledged this cookie notice, so the notice does not reappear on every visit. Local storage.
• Session state - a small in-memory record of your current virtual coin balance and open game, so a spin doesn't reset if you navigate the page. Local storage, cleared when you close the tab.
• Security cookies - automatically set by our hosting provider to protect against common web threats such as automated abuse. Session lifetime.

3. Cookies we do NOT use

• No advertising cookies of any kind.
• No third-party marketing pixels (no Meta Pixel, no TikTok pixel, no Google Ads pixel).
• No behavioural profiling or cross-site tracking cookies.
• No affiliate tracking cookies (Mapleorbits does not participate in any gambling affiliate programme).
• No social-network cookies embedded via like buttons or embedded posts.
• No fingerprinting scripts, canvas trackers or storage-partition workarounds.

4. How to manage cookies

You can clear, disable or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, cookie controls are found under Settings - Privacy. Blocking cookies on Mapleorbits will not prevent you from playing, but you may need to re-confirm your age on every visit and re-accept this cookie notice each time it is shown. Because we use only essential cookies, disabling them has no impact on the fairness or behaviour of any game.

5. Why we do not use a granular cookie banner

Because Mapleorbits uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies - and no advertising, marketing or third-party tracking cookies - a granular consent banner offering to accept or reject non-essential cookies would be misleading, because there are no non-essential cookies to reject. Instead, we show a simple acknowledgement banner explaining what we do and do not use, and link to this page.

6. Retention

The age-verification and cookie preferences are stored on your device until you clear them yourself through browser settings. Session state is cleared automatically when you close the browser tab or window. Security cookies set by the hosting provider are cleared according to their standard schedule, which is documented in the hosting provider's own security policy.

7. Third parties

Mapleorbits does not deliberately place third-party cookies on your device beyond those that are strictly necessary to serve the site. We do not embed advertising networks, social sharing widgets or trackers of any kind. Where a hosting or security provider sets a necessary cookie to protect the site from abuse, it is limited in scope, short-lived, and never used for advertising.

8. Changes

If we change our use of cookies we will update this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site so you are aware of them. Continued use of the platform after such an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
